What Happens in a Session?
The initial session will involve information gathering, an assessment will be completed together, providing an in-depth overview of the problem. This allows me to tailor each session to the individual, therefore giving you the highest chance of success.
Some people do feel nervous or apprehensive at the thought of hypnosis. They are normally reassured after their initial session and you will have ample time to ask any questions.
During the session some people find they drift off and begin to think about other things that have nothing to do with the problem being treated. They may feel they have wasted the session, however this is not the case. It is the conscious mind that was thinking about something else, whilst I will be attempting to communicate with the sub-conscious.
For you to get the best out of the treatment, it is advised that you come with an open mind and commitment to change. I am then able to suggest ideas, concepts and lifestyle adaptations to you, which will be deeply embedded in your sub-conscious.
Hypnotherapy and NLP aim to re-programme patterns of behaviour within the mind, enabling irrational fears, phobias, negative thoughts and suppressed emotions to be overcome. Providing you with the tools to move forward in life, making the changes you want.

How Does it Work?
Hypnosis is a state of deep relaxation. Clients are neither unconscious or fast asleep. Many clients experience time distortion when in trance and are surprised that what seemed like 5 mins of relaxation was in fact 30-50 mins. When in this trance state I am able to work with the right side of your brain (the sub-conscious). This is the brain’s database, where we store every event in our lives, experiences and behaviours. Through positive suggestion, ideas and incorporating NLP techniques I am able to effectively support you in change.
NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming)
Neuro Linguistic Programming or NLP is a set of therapeutic techniques which we can use to change.
- Neuro relates to the way the brain interprets our experience of the world. We experience the world through our 5 senses, this activates our brain (our neurological system) and affects our physiology, emotions and behaviour.
- Linguistic relates to the idea that the way we use language, verbal and non-verbal influences our experience.
- Programming looks at how we do things: learn, make decisions, get results. NLP says that in the same way that a computer uses different software packages to do different tasks, so does the brain. Some of these software packages are highly effective, others less so.
